Good Day to All ~ What a Gorgeous Day! I love this time of Year when We are all in Anticipation of The Warmer Weather Lapping on Our ShoreLines. Let's Hope that Mother Nature allows Us to have a Summer of Fun. Like maybe even some "Knit & Yarn Gatherings", OutSide... Here, There, and On The BackSide of SomeWhere Else.

I have been strolling along Our Sandy Shores of Our Beloved Big Beach, every chance I get. I Love walking the Big Beach, as there's lots of room for me to wander. I also Love the Colors Nature has to offer and combine them together for Custom ColorWays. So as I am walking thru Town, to get to The Big Beach, my head is constantly on a swivel, looking at all the changes that are happening to properties along the way... it's a wonder I don't fall down and hurt myself, or make a fool of myself! It's on these walks that I reminisce about Lockeport and It's past, giving me idea's about My "Locke's Island Sock Tales Collection". I remember Events, People, Places... then Colors start to collect in my head until I return home. I then dig out My Stash of Sock Yarns and start to compile them in see thru project boxes. There's usually index cards sitting all thru out the house with a name of a future sock to be knit, and colors listed below. I have to be in the right frame of mind to compile the colors together and start knitting. Some people assume I knit My Socks with Bit's & Bob's of leftovers. That is not the case. Over the years as I have received Sock Yarn Orders, that while I am unpacking them, I will see certain colors that I attract to, as they remind me of my "Sock Thoughts", and I just have to add it to my Stash for future projects. Mind you, I knit socks continuously to sell in My Shop, so I can go thru quite an amount of Fibre... especially since I have been selling them for over 10 years now. Occasionally there are Pair's Knit for Gift's... I personally do not own a Pair of My Own Signature Socks... but,  I do wear All HandKnit Socks. Ones that have been Knit for me, over the years by My Niece Megan. And I still have ones that My Dear Friend Alice had Knit for me. and of course the occasional pair that I knit from just 1 Skein. Socks to Me are the Perfect Gift! They are a Labour of Love. It takes anywhere from 15-20 hours of Knitting to complete a pair. My "Locke's Island Sock Tales Collection", have stories written and attached to them about the reason I combined particular colorways, and Knit them all together. My Signature Socks contain anywhere from 12-20 different balls of yarn combined in 1 Pair. I dislike Knitting with just 1 ball of Yarn... I like the Challenge of Changing Colors that "Pop", one another for a totally different look that Never Match. I know that is why Self Striping / Patterned Yarns exist, but I take it to the next step, and then combine all of them together, all over again, causing great confusion to some, as to why I would do that. They seem to change often, as there are New Ones being added after they come off the Needles... and disappear, as they get Sold.
